Some time ago I came across a number of native Southern Sand Stars that had washed up on a local beach after a big storm. At first I thought they were dead but on closer inspection found the tiny tentacles on their belly were still moving. I relocated them to a rock pool close by and photographed them coming back to life. When I returned the next day they had gone.
Rock Stars 1 and 2 were purchased by John Paul College, Daisy Hill, for the Kindergarten playground.
